"Forever" on the stamps means that no matter what you pay for them you can use them forever to mail things. It used to be when you bought stamps it would have to price you paid on them . However they kept raising the cost and no one was putting the right amount of postage on. It created a problem so they just decided to once you bought a stamp it was good no matter how much you paid for it. I like to think when I mail it to my friends and family that it means we will be friends "forever".
